LCHF

I have been following a LCHF diet for the most part since the end of January. I am down 12 pounds so far and it has been pretty easy. I am not bored with the eating way at all but I have not been 100% strict as we had birthday's and such and I decided to give in a little was better than to deprive and fail. I returned to course though and went right back to it the very next meal. I have found alternatives to things to satisfy my crunch need and such. I am struggling with bread though. I love bread. Not just eating it but that it holds cheese and meat and I can dunk it in runny egg yolks. I also love to make it! This is a struggle for me. I tried a sort of flat bread made with coconut flour last night and it wasn't too bad but it isn't bread. Other than that just Bacon On people!

SNAP Fitness

Soooooooo I joined a gym!  Ok so far it is just a 30 day trial but I am liking the atmosphere. As for the working out part I have only gone a couple times really and tonight I am headed there to do my first circuit workout.  I feel self conscious every time I walk in there but I just keep reminding myself I am doing this for me not them. I would love to have someone to go with but then again I imagine we would be at different levels and probably wouldn't be doing the same things there anyway.  Right now I am lucky if I can go 6-7 minutes on the treadmill or the bike, and let me tell you I AM SWEATING like ice in 100 degrees!  The place is SNAP Fitness if you want to join in the fun let me know so I can send you an invite and earn some perks for the referral!

In doing this I have discovered I AM SERIOUSLY OUT OF SHAPE!!!!!!  Although weight loss is one of the things I want to achieve I am also looking to increase my flexibility (being able to get on and off the motorcycle more easily would be a huge plus as well as build up my core to help alleviate the back issues I have been noticing more and more often.

I'll be going to the Dr. on Monday and asking him for a recommendation so I can use this as a tax deduction also. I'll be asking him to check my BP which has been out of whack and also to run all the other blood work that hasn't been checked recently so I can get some baselines to compare to also.

feeling adventurous for now....

My newest tattoo, The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Eric Carle is an amazingly talented author and artist.  I fell in love with this book as a youngster and was extremely lucky to meet him at a signing with my Mom

The decorations we made looked fantastic and I received lots of compliments on my craftiness…always makes you feel good when that happens!

The food was wonderful with a fabulous fruit salad, several sandwich combo’s and a variety of awesome  desserts!

Also happy to report that they have signed an offer on a house and are now in the financing, loan approval, inspection phase of things.  Dare I say this means I will get getting my house back LOL!  Stacks of things everywhere I look that are for her home. It seems her hope boxes have multiplied like rabbits! Provided all goes well she will be moving the end of August. I am thankful she will have a chance to get settled a bit in time for the wedding!

So that has been what is going on here and why I have been MIA for the majority of the past few months.  Now on to the final touches for the wedding/reception planning….like flowers and the final choices for decorations and bow making and….

hugs,
